Kevin Koo Seng Kiat is our notary public. He leads Koo Chin Nam & Co. and its notary public practice, which he took over from his father, the late Datuk Koo Chin Nam, who founded the firm.

Kevin Koo Seng Kiat

Founding partner of Lex Futurus Group, a blockchain consulting group. Kevin represents the association in the Asian region. He is an Advocate and Solicitor in the High Court of Malaya, Malaysia. He is a Registered Patents Agent, Trademarks Agent, and Industrial Designs Agent.

Kevin leads Koo Chin Nam & Co. and has taken over its notary public practice from his late father. Having graduated from the International Islamic University with a law degree, Kevin has been practicing law ever since then.

In memory of our founder, Datuk Koo Chin Nam

Datuk Koo Chin Nam founded Koo Chin Nam & Co. in 1989, after years as a teacher. He was a lawyer and a notary public. He was known as strict but honest and spoke the truth as he saw it. He had long experience notarising documents and handled litigation throughout his legal career.

On 1 February 2012, Hari Wilayah, he was awarded the Panglima Mahkota Wilayah (PMW) by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. The honour carried the title Datuk. He advised several social organisations and enjoyed reading.

He passed away on 4 April 2025, aged 78. His son Kevin Koo Seng Kiat now leads the firm and carries its notary public practice forward.
